History of Jehala Union
About 60 years ago, Munshiganj Pashuhat was a historical market of Bangladesh on the banks of
Mathabhanga river under Jehala Union No. 7. Munshiganj railway station was widely known as a
trading center and a large fish market at that time. The Munshiganj Academy High School
football ground near the railway station was the biggest ground in Kushtia district.
